When Edinburgh is over and the world of comedy are limping their broken and battered bodies back to reality… Brighton is already gearing up for the next big party at the second biggest comedy festival in the UK after the fringe.  Brushing themselves off after a few weeks of sleep, the best of the International comedy circuit, pack up their buckets and spades and head down to the seaside to enjoy the last rays of the British Summer.

Brighton Comedy festival puts a smile on the faces of over 30,000 people every year, most shows usually selling out by September. The sun is nearly always shining and the multi venue event now in it’s 13th year is a must for comedy fans. This year favorites Jon Richardson, Simon Amstell and Dave Gorman amongst many others will be delighting audiences with their hi-brow wit, bonhomie and raconteur.

The Brighton Dome, Corn Exchange, Studio Theatre, Komedia & The Old Market will open their doors for 3 weeks where the cosmopolitan seaside town will see the crème de la crème of stand up comedy. Many more acts are to be announced, but the line up so far is an exciting melee of comedy genius; Tom Stade, Katherine Ryan, Jason Cook, Marcus Brigstocke, Bridget Christie, Tony Law, James Acaster, Paul Zerdin, Jason Byrne, Susan Calman, Cardinal Burns, Sara Pascoe, Vicki Stone and Seann Walsh.. just a few of the delights, plus the exceptional Squawker finalists strutting their stuff amongst the seagulls.
